Lesson Plan of Teaching Vocabulary with Games

 



  1. Theme                          : Our Surrounding; Animals, vehicles and fruits
  2. Goal/Target                  : The students are expected to be able to understand or master
   the words about animals, vehicles and fruits
  1. Indicators                     : The students are able to mention the words of the pictures
              The students are able to remember the words of the pictures
  The students are able to answer the teacher’s question
  1. Level Students              : Third grade of Elementary School
  2. Media                          : Ladder and Snake Puzzle
  3. Time                             :  2 x 45 minutes
  4. Assessment                  : Giving plus point to the group and the student who can
  answer the teacher’s question or mention the words of the
  pictures

Putting all symbols in the first square and asking to one student of their groups to shake the dice, the bigger number will start first
Each groups send one students to shake the dice, then all groups have their own turns, they have only one chance to shake the dice

Controlling the gane
Ø      Asking the first group to start
Ø      Moving the first group’s symbol forward according the number of the dice then open the card and asking to that group what in the picture is
Ø      If the group can answer, the teacher will move forward their symbol according to the number of the dice and give plus point, but if the group can’t they stay on the first they start before shaking the dice
Ø      After shaking the dice if their symbol step to certain squares where there is a top of sliding line they have to go down, but if there is a bottom of ladder they will go up
Doing the game
Ø      The first group shake the dice
Ø      All students in the group try to mention what in the picture is



Ø      All groups have their own turn to play. All students of the group have opportunity to shake the dice.




Ø      All group play the game, controlled by the teacher
